„Rhodesians Never Die“ (русин. Родезане нїґда не умерають) є родезьска патріотічна народна пісня з року 1973, котру написали і наспівали Клем Толей і Енді Діллон. Пісня ся стала неформалнов гімнов білой меншыны почас родезьской бушовой войны і є єдным з найзнамішых музичных сімболів Родезії.[1]

[едітовати | едітовати жрідло]Потім, што в роцї 1965 Родезія выголосила єдносторонну декларацію незалежности, штат не быв узнаный світом і были на нёго увалены меджінародны санкції. В 70. роках ся значно заострив озброєный конфлікт із партізаньскыма ґрупами. В условіях ізолації потребовало біле обывательство Родезії силну моралну підпору і сімбол, котрый бы людей зъєднотив. Тота пісня ся стала културнов одповідёв на тоту сполоченьску потребу.
Награвка і выданя
[едітовати | едітовати жрідло]Пісня была выдана на 7-палцёвім сінґлї в роцї 1973 під лейблом „Blackberry“ (скоро была знову выдана вызначным родезьскым лейблом „Teal Records“). На сторонї B (B-side) платнї была вміщена складба „Hey, Hey, Jerome“. Скоро ся „Rhodesians Never Die“ дістала на култовый албум Клема Толея „Songs of Love and War“ (Піснї любови і войны), котрый здобыв статус золотой платнї. В часї своєй найвекшой славы авторы тоту пісню грали перед выпроданыма салами по цїлій країнї.
